About us
Our aim at charityfacts.org is to provide high quality and impartial information about how to give to charity and what to look for in the organisations you support.
Unique on the web, we can give you advice on issues like fundraising and administration costs and what you should expect of the charities you give to.
Charityfacts was founded by Adrian Sargeant of Bristol Business School (the UK's only Professor of Nonprofit Marketing and Fundraising).
Adrian is currently the Robert F. Hartsook Professor of Fundraising at the Center on Philanthropy at Indiana University. The development of charityfacts.org was also supported by the RSPCA, the NSPCC, Cancer Research UK and the British Red Cross.
The information on the site is sourced from financial data provided by UK charities for an analysis conducted by Prof. Adrian Sargeant and Stephen Lee (Director of the Centre for Voluntary Sector Management at Henley Management College).
Charityfacts.org is endorsed by the Institute of Fundraising.
