How do I check a call is legitimate?
Callers should be clear about what charity they are representing, whether the call is being made to raise funds, and whether they are being paid. They should be able to give you the details of the charity and supply you with the details of someone you could contact there to verify the call is legitimate.
How do I make a complaint?
If you are unhappy with a call you have received, first contact the charity to express your view.
If you want to take a complaint further, contact the Information Commissioner's office.
